The Weapons have returned following their premiere release with Jahdan Blakkamore to bring you The Weapons Meet Sky-I. These two songs embody the band’s signature blend of live musicality and modern soundsystem aesthetics for a deep expression of dancefloor pumping roots. Bringing a positive message of overcoming struggle and adversity, Sky-I’s lyrics are both inspired and up-lifting. From a beautiful melodica melody to ripping distorted guitar, these tracks are layered with memorable licks atop a huge, punchy low end. To cap it off, Holland’s dub killers, The Illuminated have created a pumping UK Steppas influenced remix with subtly growling bass amidst the tasteful melodic lines and dubbed out variations.
